Authorities announced today it was investigating an "employment scam" at Career Services International in Orlando. The company advertised it would help people with quality services, including career coaching and resume writing, but clients complained they got shoddy service, "missed deadlines, untrained employees, and lack of advertised expertise,'' according to a statement from the office of Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum. His agency issued a subpoena related to the investigation of Career Services International. The agency's Economic Crimes Division is investigating allegations that the company "misrepresents available services and collects fees for those services, but fails to provide them,'' the statement said.
